For some time now, in Disney parks, there is no lower or higher season, at all times of the year you will find a crowd of tourists and giant queues for the attractions, but calm down, we are not discouraging you. Disney’s magic is so immersive in parks that even waiting in line is part of the experience and adventure.
What some people don’t know, or even know, but don’t know how to use, is that when you buy your park ticket, you’re entitled to FastPass+, allowing you to schedule up to 3 attractions on the same day and in the same park.
Booking your visit, when you arrive at the attraction, you do not take the conventional queue, but the FastPass+ queue. Many attractions have a waiting time about 90 minutes in line, while the FastPass+ queue takes about 10 minutes. A wonder, don’t you agree?
But, how do I use FastPass+?
When you buy your Disney Park Ticket, check out your ticket number, it will be the code to link you to My Disney Experience, the system that will manage all your park activities.
You can do this process on www.disney.com. With your My Disney Experience account working, you can now schedule your visits.
But calm down, let’s explain it well. If you are staying at a Disney hotel, you can schedule your FastPass+ 60 days in advance, if you are staying elsewhere, you have access to the resource 30 days in advance. This date counts from the check-in date of your trip.
At Disney this feature is free, so there’s no reason not to enjoy it.
You can also schedule through the My Disney Experience App, which we highly recommend downloading since has many features that will help you out (We’re doing a post about it soon). As already mentioned, FastPass+ is valid for up to 3 advance appointments, one for each attraction, and only 3 per day in each park. However, after using your 3 appointments, you can schedule a 4th, after using it, you can schedule a 5th and so it goes. In this case you can schedule by the App or in the kiosks that are within the parks.
We recommend that you use this benefit for the busiest attractions, so you have more time to visit other attractions, but be aware to schedule it in advance! Since they are the most desired attractions from everybody and the fastpast+ for them in the day will probably be unavailable really quick.
A common question is regarding young children under the age of 3, after all they do not have a park ticket. In this case, just schedule FastPass+ in your registration and take your child with you on the attraction.
