Hollywood Studios Park has a new attraction Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge now with Rise of Resistance

Are you a Star Wars fan and don’t miss a movie from the saga? How about feeling immersed in this universe, as if you were a character in the plot?

On December 5, Hollywood Studios unveiled a new and long-awaited Star Wars universe-focused attraction in The Rise of Resistance.
If you are planning your Orlando vacation and setting up your travel itinerary, be sure to follow our entire post to include this new attraction right now in your tour schedule.

Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge

Hollywood Studios dedicates a great deal of space to the Star Wars universe, or Galaxy’s Edge. The most beloved characters and all the magic of the saga are spread over 14 hectares and the whole atmosphere takes place on planet Batuu, never been shown in movies, but is located on the edge of the Wild Space, where there is the Black Spire Outpost.

When opened in August this year, an attraction of the Millennium Falcon: Executed Smugglers placed visitors within the Millennium Falcon emblem. The ride is a flight simulator that supports 6 participants, two pilots, two shooters and two engineers. A plot is that Chewbacca took a ship to the Black Tower Outpost for repairs and crew are responsible for taking a ship into space.

Since the opening of the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, all visitors were looking forward to December for the opening of the second attraction of Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Star Wars Inauguration: Rise of Resistance

The waiting has ended. Opening a most anticipated attraction at the Hollywood Studios park. The promise was to put the visitors in the midst of an epic battle between the Resistance and the First Order and so it happened.

Entering the attraction the visitor has the mission to participate in the rebels team and help in the adventure. Then start the mishaps, all captured by First Order soldiers, board a Star Destroyer ship and ask to overcome the attacks of Kylo Ren and his followers. At the end of the adventure, you can save a galaxy far, far away.

This is all in the purest Disney style, with all the necessary infrastructure, or as much detail in every corner. Star Wars: The Rise of Resistance is already a more sophisticated attraction of the company. Also regarded as a more immersive experience in recent times, Disney has seamlessly blended a great storyline, a host of visual effects and features that miss nothing in the movies, such as animatronics that simulate human gestures and emotions.

The biggest details of the attraction

Star Wars: The Rise of Resistance is an experience of about 20 minutes, being a perfect blend of high technology, engineering and cinema.

Already to get in the line of visitors, position yourself in a rocky cave, feel like true Resistance members by hiding from the Stormtroopers. As well as the main attractions of Disney parks, here you will also find an exclusive FastPass+ queue.

Upon entering Resistance base, visitors depart with a BB-8 and a Rey hologram passing as orders for a mission. The next stage is in the open air, where visitors are led to a spaceship by a Resistance soldier, this ship is a giant X-Wing, which comes alive with lights and moviments.

Then the soldier takes visitors to a rover and when a door closes the visitor is immersed in a simulator. Most impressive at this stage is the gigantic animation of a Mon Calamari officer. After this “hijacking” that the visitor suffers, a ship’s door will open and is already in another scenario, a Star Destroyer Deck, being received by several Stormtroopers who will give the same as coordinates.

The incredible projections of Kylo Ren and General Hux now seem to talk about all that is over and the visitors who have discovered the secret of resistance. Soldiers open the cell door and transport visitors to an escape pod, arriving at that time as a major part of Rise of the Resistance.

No more spoilers today, the best way to know what it feels like to be in the Star Wars universe is to show off Hollywood Studios on your Orlando travel itinerary.
