Disney’s new announcements for its theme parks

Disney’s new announcements for its theme parks

October 18, 2023

Last September, we had Destination 23, an event where Disney Parks President, Josh D’Amaro, announced the upcoming developments.

This event is eagerly anticipated by Disney fans, and the president had everyone on the edge of their seats, stating that the resorts will indeed have new attractions, performances, and themed areas.

And these exciting developments apply to all Disney experiences and products. Here’s a snippet from Josh’s presentation: “In the next decade, we will have more projects underway than at any time in our history. Our sole purpose is to give you more of what you love in a Disney experience and then surprise and delight you with things you never dreamed possible.”

After these statements, how can we not be filled with anticipation and high expectations for the coming years?

Here’s a summary of the main announcements from the event:

Zootopia

Animal Kingdom will have a new Zootopia show at the Tree of Life Theater.

The current concept for the new “Zootopia” experience allows visitors to explore the different biomes you glimpsed in the movie, traveling alongside Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and other characters.

New at Epcot

Luminous: The Symphony of Us will be a nighttime attraction with a release date on December 5th. The show will feature lasers, fireworks, fountains, and plenty of music.

Animal Kingdom

The Dinoland area will receive a themed area based on the Indiana Jones and Encanto movies, called “Tropical Americas.”

Regarding the release date, it was stated that “there is still a long way to go,” so we can expect this project to come to life in a few years.

World Celebration

This will be a new area at Epcot scheduled to open in December. You can see the Walt Disney statue, meet characters, and enjoy park festivals.

Moana

Epcot has also gained a new attraction in honor of Moana. The experience is called “Journey of Water” and is located in the World Nature area.

Figment

Epcot’s beloved mascot has been available since September 10th to greet fans and take many photos at the Imagination Pavilion.

The attraction is already a hit, especially among children.

Pirates of the Caribbean

The Magic Kingdom will have a space in Adventureland inspired by the Pirates of the Caribbean universe. More detailed information has not been released yet.

Disney Wish

In celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary, the movie “Wish” will be released. Asha, the protagonist, will be part of the Epcot attractions, welcoming fans for photos and a lot of fun.

Country Bear Jamboree

One of the most classic attractions at the Magic Kingdom will have many new additions, including new Disney songs in pure country style. In 2024, the bears will put on a new, surprising performance.

Hatbox Ghost

At the end of November, the Hatbox Ghost will arrive at the Haunted Mansion attraction at the Magic Kingdom. The location that will receive the ghost has already been prepared for this famous apparition.

What do you think of these announcements? Incredible, right? Don’t forget that if you’re traveling to Disney parks with children, you’ll need to rent a stroller for their comfort.

During a day of park exploration, we cover many kilometers, and the strollers available for rent directly in the parks are very uncomfortable and impractical.

Here at StrollerCare, you can rent brand new, comfortable, and sanitized strollers in advance, with support in Portuguese, English, and Spanish. You also have the convenience of receiving the stroller at your preferred location, whether it’s a hotel, park, or airport.
