SeaWorld’s Spooktacular – Fun for the whole family 

SeaWorld’s Spooktacular is an ideal Halloween event for families wanting to introduce their children to the festive spirit in a fun and light-hearted manner.  

This event, held on select dates from August 31 to November 3, is included with the regular park admission, making it a great option for those planning a visit to SeaWorld. 

Attractions at SeaWorld’s Spooktacular 

Primarily aimed at children, Spooktacular offers a variety of activities ranging from trick-or-treating to themed parades. Kids can dress up and partake in a trail filled with candy stations and interactions with enchanting characters. 

Costumes are allowed for children up to 12 years old, adding an extra element of fun and magic to the event. 

Highlights include a themed parade with the Sesame Street gang, captivating the little ones with vibrant colors and engaging music. There are also storytelling sessions and an exciting Halloween treasure hunt promising unforgettable adventures. 

Another highlight is the Halloween-themed cookie decorating area, where children can unleash their creativity and create their own treats. This activity takes place between Sesame Street Land and the Wild Arctic, from 12 PM to 4 PM. 

To start the day energetically, the park offers a special breakfast alongside Count Dracula, a unique experience that will surely be remembered by the whole family.

SeaWorld’s Spooktacular is held on select dates: 

August: 31  

September: 01, 07, 08, 14, 15, 21, 28, 29  

October: 04 to 06, 11 to 13, 18 to 20, 25 to 27, 31  

November: 01 to 03 

The event takes place during regular park operating hours, without the need for additional tickets.

Children’s comfort at SeaWorld’s Spooktacular 

This is one of the children’s favorite Halloweens in Orlando, mainly because of the wide variety of attractions aimed at young visitors. However, it’s important to remember that the park is vast, and a lot of walking will be required during the day.

Haunted houses are the highlight of the event, challenging visitors to face their worst nightmares in dark passages and scary mazes. In addition, the park becomes a place where terror is everywhere, with lurking monsters and scare zones that provide frights around every corner. 

To complement the experience, Howl-O-Scream offers live shows full of special effects and dance performances that capture the essence of Halloween. DJs and parties are also part of the event, providing moments of fun amid the scares. 

Visitors can also enjoy the park’s roller coasters in the dark, adding an extra element of thrill to SeaWorld’s traditional attractions. 

2024 Dates 

Howl-O-Scream occurs in 2024 on the following dates:  

September: 06, 07, 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, 29  

October: 04, 06, 11, 13, 17, 20, 24, 27, 30, 31  

November: 01, 02 

On these days, the park closes to daytime visitors at 7 PM and reopens from 7 PM to midnight for the Halloween event. 

It’s important to note that costumes are not allowed during Howl-O-Scream, and the event features content strictly intended for an adult audience, including scenes of intense violence and terror. 

SeaWorld Orlando offers two very different Halloween experiences that cater to all tastes and ages. While SeaWorld’s Spooktacular provides a day full of family fun, Howl-O-Scream takes terror to a new level for thrill-seekers.
